Our Story

The Sagun Social Organization know as Non – Profits Organization in Kathmandu Nepal. This organization registered on 2015 after having a long experience for social work since 13 year. we are 5 people founder supporting of this organization.

The special seminal situation, when the name of our charity was decided to spent lot’s time for discussing, what to do with their ideas for works at remote village and conservative area in Nepal.

It’s reality about began in 2003 for social work in the country side from “Jhalak Pakhrin” He is the founder and Chairman of this organization. When he was studying at class 8 and he has been doing porter with British tourist occasion of public holiday for 1 month from Nepal government school. In this period he went to Ghorepani Poon Hill trek with his uncle Birbal Tamang, and he saw some women group makes some music instruments for fundraising to make broken bridge, way, electricity so on so. After 1 month he back to village and he start to do it, what learn before about social work for education, health, agriculture, sports so on so.

In 2006. after he began to social work his village, he travel to India at Leh Ladakh for work for survive his aims and education. But fortunately he found nice people from Switzerland as name: Rob Turst Laan, Cornelia and Roby Allanbech. They helped him for some little economy to help for this village and community to buy furniture and they have been supporting continue until they travel in Sikkim after 2 year. They fell in love with the country and its people. This led to the Crags being part of a group of people who raised money and awareness for much needed health and education projects in remote villages.

In 2012, after listening to Rober Turst Laan and Roby Allenbech’s  enthusing about the wonder of Nepal,  decided to organize a trek and two peak’s of expedition to Nepal with a group of friends each other. After a supper adventure trip they advice me for more supporting in coming days  and they promoted for my works even they are not been this worked place and he did continuing.

In 2014, one of the old women have been full support to his aims and she is still continue and  in 2015, Jhalak has been found French team for Annapurna base camp trekking before 5 day’s to left earth quake. This team able to fulfill the trip even it was shaking by quake. And end of the  trek they collect some amount for emergency earth quake relief for village and doing support continuing.

The time had come to turn a dream into a reality and that meant utilizing the knowledge and skills of an ever growing circle of people interested in making a difference.

Sagun Social Organization was born in 2015
In May, 2015, we celebrate our birthday every year of this date ! Over this decade we have gone from strength to strength, a full time Fundraising Coordinator in the France over 100 members in Nepal working communities, and a circle of ever increasing fundraisers and supporters globally.
