DRINKING WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM

FOR

Baiteshowr , Ward no 6, Siureni ( DALIT) Society in  Dolakha – Nepal.

BACKGROUND

Baiteshowr, Siureni village is located  approximately 170 km from Kathmandu. It is situated on slope side of hill. As per our preliminary field survey conducted on 7^th December 2019. it was found that the Baiteshwor Siureni village population are having drinking water scarcity problem to run their Daily life activities.

WATER DEMAND

During time of survey, with the conversation to the villagers of Baiteshowr, Siureni village . We found that 4000 lit/hr of water is sufficient for 30 house holds. This design is based in accordance with the conversation held between our surveyor and the people of Baiteshowr, Siureni village.

WATER SOURCE

Water from nearest available source (mull) is sufficient to meet the demand of Padul Agriculture. The water from the mull is sufficient for the proposed system.

PIPE LINE

We recommend you to use 40 mm dia medium G.I Pipe 32 m and  40 mm dia HDPE pipe 1500 m of 10 kg/ cm² must be installed from the main source (mull) to desired delivery point.

The head difference of Source at mull and the top point Reservoir tank is approx. 100 meters and the total length to be about 1500 meters proposed pipe line is of   1^1/2”(30mm) size G.I and HDEP.

HDEP of 40 mm 10 kg/cm2 1500m

Source tank

500 lit Hdep tank 2 nos with casing pipe and required accessories nearby water source.

Reservoir tank (Existing)

10.0 m³/hr

Terms and condition

1. All the unskilled labor must be provided by the public.
2. Transportation is included the above rates.

CONCLUSION

With the implementation of above suggested techniques, it can be assured that the Baiteshwor Siureni village, will have sufficient water for their day to day activities.
