Volunteer fees

Sagun Social Organization is a non-profit, non-government, non religious and non Politics based organization in Kathmandu – Nepal.  Our volunteers fees are three times less then other volunteering organizations in Nepal. However we don’t compromise the quality of the projects, what other organization does. We are place and accommodate  volunteers / internships directly to these projects. Therefore we do not have to pay for any other agencies and  organizations for organize this program. We don’t have to spend time for the  cost and we work very hard and smart to costs affordable , this is the main reason our volunteer program fees are more reasonable than other volunteer  agencies and Organizations.

All our program fees go directly to fund your stay, staff salaries and various community projects. We are working hard to ensure high level of project quality of the programs and the safety of all volunteers.

Volunteers booking Fee: $ 30 USD – It’s non refundable fees which covering  for your process to application and departure support, It’s also not deductible from program fees.

Please read the following information  before you confirm your trip:

The program fee including

Transportation

• Airport pick up and transfer to hotel, then well come tea with briefing.
• Pick up from hotel to Sagun Social Organization office.
• Drive to your project place with your luggage from hotel.
• From the project site to SSO  office / Hotel on the last day with your luggage;

Program Induction (Pre service training)

• Nepali language course around 2 hours each day.
• Presentation on Nepali history, politics, economy, social problems
• Health & safety trip
• Half day sightseeing of world heritage sites : – Darbur Squares, Baudhanath,Pashupatinath and Swoyambu stupa
• Stationary & handouts of the presentations

Social Projects

• Young  empowerment with youth clubs and their activities to empower local youth communities.
• Children’s development and  more than 700 hundreds of children’s classroom, education,  teacher training, school building, compound, toilet construction etc.
• Community health care program : – Free medical check-up for over 3000 people by professional doctor recognized by Sagun Social Organization.
• Lab, medicine, mobile clinics, school health and toilet construction for each poor families in conservative area.
• Fully support for local volunteers

 Accommodation and Meals

• Accommodation at hotel on same sharing basis and lunch at office during program the induction.
  Food & accommodation during placement with a host family / hostel / monastery / orphanage homes (depending on your volunteering)
• Normally you will get typical food as Dal – Bhat, Roti, Makai, Bhatamas etc… local food but as your choice you try to provide continental foods.

Administrative Cost

• Project staff salaries
• Office rent & furniture
• Meeting & socialization with volunteers & interns from different countries
• 24 hours emergency support and services.
• Internet & phone
• Administrative charge
• Local tax and  membership charges

Personal travel  as : Tour, Trekking, Rafting,  Jungle safari etc. If you are interest organization will organize for you with affordable cost.

The program fee excludes the following:

• International flight ticket and visa and visa extension fee, additional visa fees how ever it become cost.
• Stationerie materials  during volunteering programe.
• Entrance fees to the cultural tour if you make tour.
• Laundry, internet, telephone, hard / cold drinks.
• Travel and medical insurances,  health and emergency rescue.
